Copernicus crater and Apollo 11 landing site
Copernicus crater and Apollo 11 landing site
by Carlo Paschetto
Product Details
A detailed picture of the Moon surface focusing on the Copernicus crater, the Montes Apennines range and the Sea of Tranquility, landing site of Apollo 11 mission which brought Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to be the first men walking on the Moon.
Original surface colors have been slightly boosted to highlight mineral composition of lunar rocks. The different colors are recognized to correspond to real differences in the chemical composition of the lunar surface. Blue tones correspond to area rich in ilmenite, which contains iron, titanium and oxygen, mainly titanium, while the orange and purple colors show regions relatively poor in titanium and iron.
Style and Size
Paper prints are available on gloss Ultra HD paper Fuji Crystal Professional Archive Maxima.
For unframed prints on aluminium, UltraHD Photo Print is developed on the Fuji Crystal Professional Archive Maxima photo paper. The backing is 3 mm (1/8 in.) thick aluminum Dibond. A composite material with three layers, Dibond ensures maximum stability but weighs very little. Wall mount system is included.
ArtBox frame is made of glazed black aluminium 10 mm (0.39 in.) thick which leaves a small gap between the picture and the aluminium frame, making the image appear to be floating. Wall mount system is included.
The HD Metal Print is an especially low weight premium product, weather and water resistant. It's a two layer composite material, made by a high-quality print encapsulated in a special coating and an aluminium panel 1mm thick. Wall mount system is included.
For unframed prints the image is printed right to the edge of the material and size refers to the exact product dimensions.
For ArtBox the size refers to the actual image size. 1 cm (4/10 in.) more must be added each side to consider the ArtBox frame.
